Speech Contest
On this last 21st of February, 2019, at Centro Educativo Jean Piaget, the Speech Contest was held among 9th and 10th graders. During this contest, the best declamations prepared during their Speech Classes were presented. With topics that ranged from profoundly relevant social issues, such as “Feminism” and “Immigration”, to personal passions, such as the basketball team “Miami Heat”, our students were able to share with their classmates, teachers, and parents their interests and thoughts, getting a unique opportunity to have their voices heard. We commend the hard effort of all of our participants, and would like to celebrate our winners: Fernanda Quezada, from 10 grade, who won first place with a speech titled “Stress: Your Friend”. Josefina Gil and Maximiliano Figueroa were tied in second place, while Valeria Cárdenas and Luis Tinajero were both awarded third place. In addition, Úrsula Matos and Samantha López also received Honorable Mentions for their speeches in front of a delighted audience that thoroughly enjoyed this creative event.
